I have an MBA degree with from Utah State University, UT, and am interested in applying for a Accountant Position in your firm. Until recently I was working as an Accountant in a travel agency, in New York, dealing with web-based sales as well as corporate clients. I have extensive experience in accounting and administrative work and love to be able to make a difference always being ready to help others and be on the top of my enterprise. In my previous assignment, I worked on almost all aspects of accounting including bank reconciliation, printing checks, doing the daily and weekly sales report, working with the general ledger and making profit and loss statements. I have also supervised 7 other accountants. My team has been responsible for auditing the bank statements, dealing with helping with the research and payment of debit memos and charge backs, internal auditing and working with ARC reporting (details in resume). Additionally, I have 6 months experience as a part-time accountant in a retail firm and have used Quick- Books and Retail - Pro software for data entry and printing checks. I also did a year- long marketing internship with General Motors. Here I worked in a team of nine with a local dealership (in USA). The main objective of the team was to increase the consumer awareness of specific car brands. The campaign proved to be quite successful as we were able to target the college population and increase their brand awareness by about 10 percent. Besides my academic background in business administration and accounting, I hold a bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, and have completed one year's worth of work towards a Masters in Automated Manufacturing Systems. I have taught for four years at Engineering Institutes in India, as a Fellow Trainee, and as an Associate Lecturer (please refer resume for detailed information). With my background and current interests, I am in a position to offer you a sound technical background, good familiarity with accounting, administrative and managerial side of things, and sound computer skills.
